Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress who has gained notoriety for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. She was first known for her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred alongside veteran actor Anil Koopor. Her next appearance on screen was in Dil along with Aamir. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dancing at a young age. Early in her life, when she first started to act as a child actress, most films she produced weren't successful. Eventually she became one the most famous actresses in Indian film. After her marriage was over, she took a few months to rest from her acting career until she returned. In recent times, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit is nominated in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her fame is based on her social works as well.
